EMI and EUKN are cooperating strongly with UN-HABITAT to have an exchange of knowledge on urban development and metropolitan areas also in other parts of the world. Bi-monthly, EMI and EUKN will, in close cooperation with the UN-HABITAT office, incorporate articles in their newsletters from the UN-HABITAT database on timely issues of urban development in other parts of the world. ‘Shrinking cities’ is an excellent first example of this cooperation.
